In setting up I S research, we aimed simply to produce the best research we could on the UK technology sector safe in the knowledge that the clients would follow.
Who we are
I S Research is all about fresh, bold and innovative thinking whether we analysing a company, advising a client or thinking about how best to run our own business. We believe in investing in technology and keeping overheads low in order to remain competitive and agile.
History
I S Research was founded by Ian Spence in 2007. Ian has been involved in researching and advising companies in the UK technology sector for over 15 years and was voted TechMARK analyst of the year in 2004 and again in 2008 making him the only analyst to win twice and the only independent analyst to be recognised in this way.
The business was founded on Megabuyte - originally a free blog, our widely read market intelligence service is now available to subscribers only. We are very proud the fact that Megabuyte is read by so many leading CEOs, investors and advisers in the sector.
From this firm foundation we went on to launch our Equity Research service and we have been delighted that the client base has grown rapidly from day one. Our blend of high quality, genuinely independent research combined with intelligent distribution has been the key to this early success.
Our tight customer relationships have also enabled us to introduce a range of complementary consulting services which are proving popular with new and existing clients alike. After an initial year of investment, I S Research is now profitable, cash generative and fully funded.
